Mission Accomplished

Hello There!

I intended to publish this on Saturday, but my Internet/WiFi was trippin. So, I had to postpone until today, which is slightly annoying because I had other post intended for today. Oh well, not going to sweat the small stuff. I’m not even going to talk about the amount of time that has elapsed since my last post. Just going to move on….LOL How’s everyone been doing?? I have been busy lately. When am I not busy though?? It is surely the story of my life. I’ll save that for a future post though.

Now, during the month of March, which was nearly 2 months ago, I had several workout challenges going on in March—abs, jumping jacks and Jillian Michaels—all of which were to assist me in my never-ending weight-loss battle. Each challenge grew progressively harder as the month continued, partially due to the fact that I was doing all three at the same time. Maybe that wasn’t the brightest idea, but everything is 20/20 in hindsight.

I am happy and proud to report that I not only beat my challenges, but my weight loss as of April 6 was 14 pounds total…YES, 14 WHOLE POUNDS!! I am so proud of myself. That is nearly 1/4 of the weight that I want to lose! Yes!Mission Accomplished! I have to acknowledge each milestone or this journey will be brutal. Not only am I getting more fit and healthy, but I also feel soooooooooooo much better too. I was thrilled to see some slight definition in my biceps from my birthday photos. I am no Jillian Michaels…yet…but I am getting there FOR SURE!

Since completing the March goal, I have spent most of April staying on track with my eating. It’s a lifestyle, not a diet. I also invested in a new DVD—Jillian Michaels Killer Buns & Thighs. I’ll do a review of that at the end of the month probably. (I just realized that’s like Wednesday. Where is the year going?) So far though, I am LOVING it. It is indeed KILLER! But, I really like it. I am definitely seeing results.

It has been a very busy month between the tornado outbreak in the first week of April…

My birthday, which honestly got slightly dismissed since it was the DAY after the tornadoes. I was exhausted, but had an awesome time celebrating 26 years of life with my friends and family!

That’s okay though. ANNNNNDDDD..it’s National Volunteer Month, so I have been busy, busy promoting and doing interviews.

May will be a lot less busy, or at least I hope so a little bit. Who am I kidding?? I really want to spend some more time in the gym to get ready for the summer. Gotta to be fly in my swimsuit.

There is still a LOOOONNNNGGG way to go before I reach my weight loss goal.  But I am going to stick to it and see it through. I’ve worked too hard to give up now. Long day ahead. Holla at ya lata!
